What an AYFR assessment is, and is not
AYFR provides independent evidence assessment to support human due diligence. This page sets out how our assessments should be read, what they are not, and how any company referred to can ask for the evidence behind a statement and put it right.
What AYFR does
AYFR Ltd assesses the evidence behind health and life-sciences AI companies. The platform retrieves, appraises and organises evidence at a scale and consistency that a human team cannot reach at deal speed. Every score, override and final rating is made by a named, qualified human assessor. The platform exists to help people synthesise evidence more accurately, more reliably and in greater volume. It does not make decisions, and it does not replace the judgment of the people who use it.
What AYFR does not do
AYFR does not provide investment advice, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice or regulatory advice. An AYFR assessment is not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, invest in, lend to, partner with, or refrain from any of these, in respect of any company. It is not a valuation. It is not a credit rating or an opinion on creditworthiness. It is not a substitute for a client's own due diligence, professional advice or judgment, and investment decisions remain the sole responsibility of the person making them.
The nature of an assessment
An AYFR rating (GREEN, AMBER, RED, or a labelled exemption) is a statement of opinion. It is formed by a named human assessor on the evidence available to AYFR at the assessment date, using the methodology published on this site: evidence retrieval across named research providers, quality appraisal grounded in GRADE, and scoring against 144 published parameters. Every rating carries its grounding basis. Where evidence is absent, the assessment says so rather than filling the gap.
Ratings are dated. They reflect the evidence as it stood on that date and may not reflect later developments. AYFR does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of third-party information on which an assessment relies.
Ratings are contestable. A company that is the subject of an AYFR assessment, or that is referred to on this site, may request the evidence basis for any statement about it and may submit corrections or additional evidence. AYFR will consider such submissions in good faith and will correct any statement shown to be inaccurate. Requests should be sent to arup@ayfr.org.
Public statements about companies and sectors
Where this site refers to the outcome of an assessment of a named company, or to a pattern across a sector, it does so as a summary of AYFR's opinion formed under the methodology above, on evidence that is cited in the underlying assessment record. Such statements are made in good faith on a matter of public interest: the alignment between the claims made for healthcare AI and the evidence that supports them. They are not statements of fact about any company's conduct, solvency or prospects, and should not be read as such.
AI assistance and human judgment
AYFR uses AI systems to retrieve, appraise, organise and draft. AYFR does not use AI systems to decide. Every score, override and final rating is made by a qualified human assessor whose identity is recorded in the assessment provenance. AI-generated content within an assessment passes through layered verification before it reaches any deliverable, and no AI output reaches a client unchecked.
